Though she’d never admit it, mom’s been struggling with empty nest syndrome ever since you moved out and now she’s going through a divorce too, over Christmas of all times. Having your own relationship troubles and wanting to be there for mom, you offer to stay over the holidays. Things come to a head when mom’s had one too many beverages and confronts you about your girlfriend (who she never liked), and the fact that every man in her life always abandons her, including you. In the heat of the argument, angry that she’s accusing you of not being there for her, you grab her and bend her over the kitchen counter, showing her just how much you do care. Having crossed a boundary that should never be broken that night, mom spends the run up to Christmas conflicted and confused as the lines become more and more blurred between you two. You both slowly come to terms with your newfound desires and mom realises just how far she’s willing to go to finally have her son back for good.
