I come home from working a long holiday and talking to my sister on the phone I realize that my son was super depressed that I missed Thanksgiving dinner. I have the pie done, late… but it’s still here. I know I have to make this up to him. So, I call him downstairs and show him Mommy made him is favorite pumpkin pie. I know you’ve been feeling neglected since your Dad left and Mommy has been so busy trying to make ends meet. Look, how about we spend some ONE ON ONE time together and you let Mommy make things up to you? I was thinking maybe I could show you what being the “Man of the house” means.
